PSIPW presented a detailed presentation showcasing its engagement over the past then years with the Conference of the Parties for Climate Change (COP). Since 2017, PSIPW has sent a party-level delegate to COP, usually one of its laureates, to advise on solutions to remedy the stresses and uncertainties of water demand and availibility caused by climate change. The presentation at the 6th Stakeholders meeting highlighted how each of those solutions utilised space technology to realise its goals.

Participants at the Space4Water Stakeholders meeting shared country case studies and exchanged knowledge. They engaged with pressing water-related challenges such as floods, groundwater scarcity, water quality degradation, and irrigation needs.

The following 23 countries were represented among the online participants: Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Ethiopia, the Gambia, Ghana, India, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.

The objectives for the meeting included:

[1] Consolidating the growing community of practice;

[2] Fostering knowledge exchange between Space4Water stakeholders, professionals, young professionals, and Indigenous voices;

[3] Co-developing space-based solutions for water-related challenges; and

[4] Identifying and addressing other ways to improve Space4Water community interaction and achieving shared objectives.

The Space4Water Stakeholders meeting is an intensive workshop. Over the two days of the workshop, researchers from government, national space agencies, private corporations, and academia who are engaged in space and water applications, worked on developing practical, applicable solutions for water challenges on the ground, particularly in developing countries. During breakout sessions, solutions that were under development or adopted in the on-site 5th Space4Water Stakeholders Meeting were developed and refined. Operational tools that had been under development from earlier meetings were demonstrated.
