King Saud University Rector, Dr. Badran Al-Omar welcomed Prince Badr with Khalid A. Al-Hamoudi, Rector of Al-Qassim University, Abdulrahman Al-Ibrahim, Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Mohammad I. Alsaud, Deputy Minister of Water & Electricity for Water Affairs and Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh, PSIPW General Secretary.

Al-Omar presented a welcome address, in his address he said "The university is very pleased to have your first visit Your Highness."

Further,  Al-Omar stated that King Saud University is proud to support PSIPW. PSIPW aims to give recognition to the efforts that scientists, inventors and research organizations around the world are making in water related fields. PSIPW acknowledges exceptional and innovative work which contributes to the sustainable availability of potable water and the alleviation of the escalating global problem of water scarcity.

Moreover, Al-Omar said, KSU doing every effort to make this award inspiration for researchers and scientists in water related field. Finally, he thanked to Prince Khalid Bin Sultan and Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh for supporting KSU.

PSIPW General Secretary, Dr.  Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh, said that PSIPW has already achieved many of its objectives and has honored many of the top scientists in the world and encouraged many more scientists.

During its 5th Award, a distinguished group of senior scientists around the world received the Prize for their outstanding creative work.

Further, Al Alshaikh stated that many of the prizewinning works addressed major water problems facing large numbers of people, including the problem of arsenic contamination of groundwater that threatened millions of people with death in many parts of the world.

In conclusion, Prince Badr bin Sultan thanked KSU Rector for his honoring invitation and all presented members.
