PSIPW, like in past years, sent a party-level delegate to the Conference of the parties (COP), the 27th iteration of which took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 6 to 20 November 2022.
The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) participated as the partner of the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) at the 1st Space4Water Stakeholders Meeting which took on 27 and 28 October 2022 at the Vienna International Centre.
On 5 June 2022, the Prize Council, under the chairmanship of the president of King Saud University Dr. Badran Al-Omar, and under the direction of PSIPW President HRH Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, approved the winners for the 10th Award (2022) of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW).
At the close of 2021, the PSIPW Council convened its first meeting for the 10th Award under the direction of its Chairman, Dr. Badran al-Omar, President of King Saud University, and reviewed an unprecedented number of nominations from 66 countries.
For the fifth consecutive year, PSIPW sent a party-level delegate to the Conference of the parties (COP), the 26th iteration of which took place in Glasgow, Scotland from 31 October to 13 November 2021.
